Wayne and Riley Peckham sentencing adjourned after being found guilty of murder in Downham Market





The fate of a father and son convicted of murder will be determined next week after their sentencing was adjourned.

At Norwich Crown Court last month, Wayne Peckham, 48, and Riley Peckham, 23, both of Manby Close, Hilgay, were found guilty of murdering 39-year-old Matthew Rodwell in Downham.

Mr Rodwell was in a relationship with Peckham Snr's former wife, Kerry Peckham, who is the mother of Peckham Jnr.

Peckham Snr and Jnr were due to be sentenced in Norwich today (Thursday). However, due to staff illnesses at the court, this has been adjourned until Tuesday next week at 10am.

Jurors also found them both guilty of one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against another man on December 2021 in Downham.

Peckham Snr was convicted of two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, but was found not guilty of assault by beating.

He was also convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against Mrs Peckham on January 23, 2022.
