LEARN MOREA father and son duo have raised thousands for a West Norfolk charity that supports women and children affected by domestic abuse by completing 50 5K runs in May.
Mark and Jude Widdowson, from North Norfolk, had aimed to raise £2,000 for the Pandora Project, but they greatly exceeded their total and raised £3,176 for the cause.
Mark said that Jude “wanted to achieve something positive during lockdown and to help raise money and awareness for a local charity”.
"He read a lot of stories in the press and wanted to focus on a domestic abuse charity, and a small local one in particular," Mark added.
A representative for the charity said: “We are really grateful to Mark and Jude for supporting our charity during this difficult time when lockdown has made things even harder for those living with domestic abuse.
The money will go towards supporting children and young people living with the effects of domestic abuse."
