Father remanded in custody on daughter murder charge

A father accused of murdering his 19-year-old daughter has been remanded in custody.

Nigel Malt, 44, of Lynn Road, Lynn, appeared before Norwich Crown Court via videolink this morning.

He is charged with the murder of Lauren Malt, 19, in West Winch on Sunday.

Bail was refused and Malt was remanded in custody for a plea and trial preparation hearing to take place on April 1.

A provisional trial date has been set for June 27. The case is expected to last around a week.
