Fences installed around Heacham poppy field as visitors urged to 'respect' the site

Fences and signs have been installed around poppy fields in Heacham, discouraging visitors from entering the site.

In recent weeks, people have been stopping at the site on the A149 to view the picturesque floral sights.

At the weekend, numerous vehicles were seen to have parked up in a lay-by near the site, with some people taking photos whilst standing in the field.

A new sign which has been installed at the site reads: “Ken Hill Farms and Estate – please take your photos of the amazing poppies from the field edge, respect our field of organic milling wheat which is grown for baby food. Many thanks, Nick.”
