We may have only just got Halloween out of the way but, for stallholders and bargain hunters at a Lynn hotel, the focus was all on Christmas.
The big day is still more than seven weeks away, but a gift fair held at the Knights Hill Hotel on Thursday offered an early dose of festive cheer for hundreds of shoppers.
It was organised by the East Anglian Air Ambulance and featured more than 30 stalls.
Many of the stallholders were local producers, selling items including hand-made crafts, sweet treats, home fragrance, soaps and other potential stocking fillers.
More than 350 people attended, helping to raise over £1,500 for the charity. Chris Donaldson, the charity’s area fundraising manager, said: “We are so pleased with how the day went and we look forward to holding a similar event next year.
“We received so much positive feedback and there was a fantastic atmosphere all day.
“We’d like to say a special thank you to Knight’s Hill Hotel & Spa for donating the use of such a beautiful venue for the event, as well as all the fabulous stallholders, the Sainsbury’s team from the Vancouver Centre store in King’s Lynn, our dedicated volunteers and, most importantly, everyone who came to visit us.”
The festive mood was also boosted by members of the West Norfolk Rock Choir, who sang popular seasonal numbers throughout the day.
