Fun fete at West Winch
All of the fun of the fete, from bouncy castles to hoopla and live music brought out the crowds at West Winch on Saturday in spite of the miserable weather.
“We were a bit out of luck with the weather,” said fete organiser Jo Crisp. “Friday and Sunday were lovely but even though Saturday wasn’t great lots of people turned out.”
The event was organised at the village hall and on the William Burt field by the Home School Link parent-teacher group for West Winch Primary School.
As well as traditional fete games such as tombola, hoopla and lots of stalls, there were singers for provide entertainment, bouncy castles, crafts on show, plenty of refreshments, a gin bar, pizza and, as it was Fathers’ Day, a doughnut for dad’s stall donated by Tesco.
Jo said: “We want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us in any way and a special thanks to our special princess and super hero for stepping into the roles at the last minute.
“Judging by the response everyone had a really good time.”
