Road blocked after crash on the A47 at Terrington St John between King’s Lynn and Wisbech




Emergency services were sent to the scene of a crash on a dual-carriageway this morning.

Fire crews from Lynn South, Terrington St Clement and Lynn North were called to the crash at 10.17am on the A47 from Lynn heading towards Wisbech, close to Terrington St John.

Firefighters made the scene safe, and the vehicle occupants were released using hydraulic rescue equipment.

Their stop message was received at 10.53am.

The road was closed in both directions between the A17 at Lynn and the B198 near Wisbech, with diversions in place.

It had reopened by 5.50pm.

Reports suggested a lorry and a car were involved in the incident.

Witnesses reported that a large number of emergency services had responded to the crash.
