Fire crews called out to Walsoken to put out blaze in house




Firefighters spent more than an hour putting out a blaze at a village home yesterday evening.

Crews were called to Chapnall Close in Walsoken to reports of the house fire, which started at 10.37pm.

Teams from West Walton, Outwell and Cambridgeshire wore breathing apparatus and used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots.

Fire crews left the scene at around 12.55am.
