Firefighters tackle blaze at Whispering Nurseries on West Way in Wimbotsham

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a fruit tree nursery in a West Norfolk village this afternoon.

Appliances from Downham, Hunstanton, and Lynn were called at 12.41pm to reports of a fire on West Way in Wimbotsham.

The crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

The stop message was received at 1.21pm.

Local photographer John Millward shared a photo from the scene and said the fire was at Chris Bowers & Son, Whispering Trees Nurseries - a specialist fruit tree nursery.

Chris Bowers & Son has been approached for comment.
