Firefighters tackle car blaze near house on Weeting’s Hall Close in early hours




Firefighters were called to the scene of a car blaze near a village home in the early hours of this morning.

Crews from Methwold, Thetford, Brandon and Mildenhall were sent to the fire on Hall Close in Weeting at around 12.30am.

Firefighters from Brandon Fire Station said, in a post on Facebook, that they had found a car “well alight” at the side of a house.

They used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and to protect the nearby house.

A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hotspots.

The stop message was received at 1.03am.
