Firefighters called to incident involving hazardous materials at Fakenham site

Several fire crews were called to an incident involving hazardous materials in Fakenham last night.

Units attended premises in Greenway Lane at around 8.10pm on Monday.

Town-based personnel were supported by crews from Lynn, including an environmental protection unit, as they worked for around an hour to make the site safe, the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said.

Elsewhere, three units were called to tackle a caravan blaze in Heacham.

Units were despatched to the incident in Church Lane shortly after 10pm and spent around 30 minutes at the scene.

Crews from Hunstanton and Sandringham joined their Heacham colleagues at the incident.
