A plant sale has raised funds for a West Norfolk village church hall.

The event took place at Ingoldisthorpe Church hall, where all the proceeds and donations will go towards, on Saturday.

For keen gardeners and those with green fingers, this plant fair was just the place to let your aspirations grow.

Horticulturists were encouraged to bring along their seedlings, seeds, indoor and outdoor plants, local produce and anything garden or plant related to swap or sell.

The stalls were situated outside and there were hot drinks and cakes on sale inside the hall, baked by Ingoldisthorpe Women's Institute.

Organiser Kathryn Bithray said: "We raised £666 which is going towards improving the church hall and the amenities and outside area.

"It's the first one we've done and we are doing it again next year on the same Saturday.

"There were a few stall holders and teas and coffees and cakes made by the WI and local friends.

"We also had a raffle and we were lucky with the weather. "
