A flood alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for this evening’s high tide on the West Norfolk coast.
The alert covers the Hunstanton, Heacham, Snettisham, Ingoldisthorpe, Dersingham and Wolferton areas for the high water which is expected at around 7.30pm.
Agency officials say: “We are expecting high tide levels on the North West Norfolk Coast. This is due to a combination of spring tides and a tidal surge.
“We expect to see windblown spray on the prom in Hunstanton and along the coast.”
The alert is currently in force until 10.30pm tonight.
