A flood warning was issued for Hunstanton this morning.

The Government warning said that tides were higher than usual and that flooding to properties/roads and farmland was possible from any time for four hours after high tide at 7.15am.

The alert said it expected flooding to affect Hunstanton seafront.

However, the view from the South Prom CCTV camera this morning showed it to be a little soggy where waves had over-topped the seawall but not seriously inundated.

The same warning affected the Wash frontage in Lynn, West Lynn and The Wash. Flooding to properties/roads and farmland was possible this morning in Lynn, West Lynn, Clenchwarton, Terrington St Clement, Walpole Cross Keys and Tilney All Saints.

Access to the South Quay was limited for two hours either side of the high tide.
