Nine days of floral celebrations planned for Sandringham this summer
Royal Sandringham is saying it with flowers in 2023, celebrating all things flora and fauna and giving visitors an exciting one-off chance to see a stunning replica of the late Queen's coronation robe.
The intricately woven floral robe is coming to West Norfolk from Salisbury Cathedral to feature in one of the displays in Sandringham House in June.
It will be an exciting showpiece during Sandringham in Bloom – a new event which will take place over nine days from June 3 to June 11.
Celebrations will take place across all areas of the House, gardens and courtyard with guided tours, show gardens created by local communities and charities, plant sales, live music at the weekends and a gin bar in the garden.
There will be floral displays in the House forming a perfect backcloth for the purple silk velvet robe which features pampas grass, ruscus leaves, ferns and helichrysum flowers woven by 24 floral arrangers.
Tickets for Sandringham in Bloom have gone on sale this week.
The floral theme at Sandringham gets underway next month with the gardens opening at selected weekends so that visitors can see early snowdrops and bluebells beginning to flower.
There will be guided snowdrop walks on February 14, 16 and 18, snowdrop-themed willow workshops, special events aimed at children over the February half-term and afternoon teas served at the visitor centre.
The walks and workshops must be booked on the estate website.
