Former Downham Market resident releases debut DIY book 'Pallet Style'

A former Downham resident has released her debut book, which details 20 creative home projects using recycled wooden pallets.

Nikkita Palmer, 25, designs and creates bespoke, sustainable furniture from her studio in Bedford with her partner Billy Barker, 30, and this experience forms the basis of their book Pallet Style which was released last week.

At their book launch in Bedford on Saturday, former Downham Market High School pupil Nikkita, who now lives in Northamptonshire, said: “This has been a dream of mine since I was really young.

“I can’t even begin to explain how I feel, it’s just absolutely amazing that we’ve actually done it.”

Nikkita and Billy, who have been working together for two years, also hire out props such as gin bars and photobooths through their business.
