Former West Norfolk mayor Paul Bland handed new cabinet role




A former mayor has been handed a new role on West Norfolk Council’s cabinet.

Cllr Paul Bland has become the portfolio holder for car parks and open spaces.

Cllr Alistair Beales, council leader, said: “The car parks and open spaces portfolio includes some of our most high-profile areas of work, so I am delighted to welcome Paul into the cabinet to take these on.

“His positive outlook and collaborative approach will further strengthen our cabinet.”

Cllr Bland has served on the council for two years in The Woottons ward, and in the last two years has served as deputy mayor and then mayor for 2024/25.
