8:56 Foundation in West Norfolk receives donations

The 8:56 Foundation, the West Norfolk-based men’s wellbeing organisation, has secured donations from two organisations.

The first cheque was presented by North Lynn-based Williams Refrigeration, whose employees nominated the 8:56 Foundation as its latest fundraising cause.

The company hosted several events, raising £562.

Georgina Clark, human resources manager at Williams Refrigeration, said: “The work of the 8:56 Foundation is vitally important.

“We were all really pleased to be raising funds to support this charity and the worthwhile work it does in the local area.”

The Foundation also furthered its relationship with grassroots football after receiving a cheque from North West Norfolk Football League.

A cheque for £290.80 was presented by league chairman Andrew Dix and vice chairman James Pollard to trustees Richard Watson and Phillip Yates.

Mr Watson said: “Thank you to Williams Refrigeration and North West Norfolk Football League for their kind donations.

“These funds will help support awareness for men’s mental health so we can work together to change the statistic of one man every two hours taking their own life.”
