King's Lynn store Dobbies’ Little Seedlings free sustainable workshop going green this summer with Magnificent Microgreens
Dobbies in Lynn, the UK’s leading garden centre, is hosting Magnificent Microgreens, a free and green workshop with its Little Seedlings Club on Sunday, July 3.
Taking a deep dive into the science behind the nutritious leafy greens, Dobbies’ workshop will showcase all the health benefits of eating these magnificent superfoods and how attendees can easily grow their own at home no matter the space.
This interactive workshop in Lynn will help educate children aged 4-10 through a series of fun and engaging activities, and each child will get to make their very own windowsill planter to take home and grow. The Little Seedlings team will also be demonstrating all the ways in which chefs use microgreens to help encourage kids to eat their greens.
Dobbies’ partnership and events manager, Sarah Murray, explained: “July is a brilliant time of year to encourage the little ones to get out into the garden.
"Growing your own microgreens is a great way for kids to learn the basics of how to care for plants, find out where they exist in the plant lifecycle and why they are so popular.
“The Little Seedlings workshop in our King's Lynn store is open to all children who have access to a garden, an outdoor balcony space or even just a sunny windowsill. This July we’re showing our Little Seedlings across King's Lynn that their greens can flourish indoors or outdoors if you have the right knowledge and tools.”
Advance booking is required to secure your space for Dobbies’ free Kings Lynn workshop, Magnificent Microgreens. For more information about how children can get involved at Dobbies’ Lynn store, visit https://events.dobbies.com/event-detail/?e=4209&v=0&r=v.
