Duration Brewing offers free tasting at Castle Acre's The George and Dragon beer festival
Duration Brewing, based at West Acre, will be offering tutored tasting during a beer festival which takes place at The George and Dragon pub in Castle Acre this bank holiday weekend.
Brewer Derek Bates will be offering samples for people to try and explain differences between beers as well as some of their history.
His wife, Miranda Hudson, co-founder of Duration Brewing said: "We've done a lot of events up and down the country, but this event means so much to us as it's right in our local community at our much-loved local The George – a delightfully modern take on an 18th century pub.
"Bates will be walking you through small glass pours as he discusses what makes an East and West Coast IPA, why a pilsner is one of the hardest styles to deliver well, and how farmhands would have often drunk seasonal crops in their saisons."
The free beer tasting session takes place from 3pm to 4pm on Saturday, August 24.
This free event has limited numbers so booking a place is advised to ensure there are enough samples. Booking can be made by visiting the brewery's Facebook page.
The beer festival takes place at The George and Dragon throughout the whole weekend. There will be plenty of other local ales on tap too. Included is the opportunity to play volleyball and there will also be a barbecue.
The venue caters for vegans, vegetarians and people with mobility needs. Dogs and children are welcome.
