Fun at the Denver fair

On Saturday the fair came to town as kids of all ages delighted at the rides and candyfloss, after a long year of national lockdowns.

The fair at Denver was held at the weekend on Denver playing field and will continue on until Saturday April 24 and Sunday April 25 from 2pm.

Crowds of children jumped and squealed with delight as the queued up to go on the bumper cars, mini rollercoasters and fun house.

The fair was made covid safe by the use of contactless on some rides, and sanitiser stations around the grounds.

The fairground workers, out of respect to the Duke of Edinburgh, closed the fair from the hours of 2pm to 4pm on Saturday.

However that didn’t deter the merry-makers, as by 4pm the field was crowded with teenagers and children.

It felt like pre-covid times, as people delighted in the simple pleasures that have been missed under national lockdown, as the entertainment sector has suffered badly during the pandemic.
