A coffee, tea, cakes and table top sale at Wimbotsham Methodist Church raised £67 for the church on Saturday.

These sales are held every third Saturday of the month.

Church member Mary Rose, who lives in Downham, said: "Proceeds will go towards the church because our electric bill is so enormous and we have had a few repairs on the old building.

"The table top sale included bric-a-brac which different people bring, like books. We only charge a few pence for them, but it's better than throwing them away.

"Sometimes we do these for a charity, especially when Macmillan comes around.

"We are also collecting money for Ukraine from church-giving."
