Fundraising could see Wereham Village Hall benefit from defibrillator

There are hopes that an upcoming event will help to raise funds for a piece of lifesaving village equipment.

Wereham Village Hall trustees and the Friends of Wereham Village Hall are currently drumming up money in order to purchase a defibrillator.

The groups feel this would be an “invaluable asset” for the whole community, and are therefore calling on anybody who would like to make a donation or provide a prize for upcoming events to get in touch.

As part of the fundraising for the defibrillator, a raffle for a ‘Pimm’s and Goodies Hamper’ is being held. The draw will take place during a village hall quiz night on Saturday, September 7.

Chair of trustees, Keith Murray, said: “With your help we can reach our target very soon and make this very worthwhile project a reality.”
