A plant, book and food sale at St Mary the Virgin Church took place over the bank holiday in Holme.

Organised by Sally Crown, John Loversage, Sandra Betterton and Ann Rossington the event was the first after the pandemic.

The plant sale raised some £600 which will be donated to the Help Holme Church Group.

From the book and food sale, £450 was raised which will be put back into the church funds.

Ann, who organised the produce and chutneys, said: "It was quite busy and a successful event so we are really pleased.

"Some of the money will go back in to the fabric of the church, such as fixing windows.

"We had a pop-up cake stall and sold jams, chutneys and fresh produce. It was good to meet people and see people we hadn't seen for a while."
