Fundraising page set up for Swaffham support worker to help two sons with new home
A fundraising page has been set up to help support the two sons of a Swaffham mother who died on the Norfolk coast at the weekend.
Danielle Chilvers, who worked at the Nicholas Hamond Academy, died at Waxham on Sunday after getting into difficulty in water when helping her son.
Her friend Marie Lloyd has set up a fundraising page which has already raised more than £2,700 following a target of £500.
The page says: "Dani did what all of us parents would have done, her boy was in trouble, she went to help. Dani got caught in a rip current and just like that she was gone.
"Dani was a remarkable woman, loved by everyone, would help anyone, she was so happy with life, loved her job and her children were her absolute everything.
"Dani has left behind her two boys, the boys will need to move from their home, the house that will be their new home needs a lot of work doing before they can move in and for it to be their new home.
"If anyone would like to donate please, please please do so, Dani has always wanted the best for her children and we will carry this on for her."
The Nicholas Hamond Academy issued a statement describing the Swaffham mother as "a much-loved member of our team" who would be missed by colleagues, students and parents alike.
She worked at the academy for a number of years in a variety of roles including student support leader.
