The line-up for this year’s Swaffham Visual Arts Festival has been announced and organisers hope residents will back the artistic showcase.

Now in its sixth year, the festival, which is organised by the town’s Rotary Club, raised more than £4,000 for good causes in 2014 and officials are hoping for similar success this time.

The festival opens with a fashion event at the Nicholas Hamond Academy on Friday October 9 and concludes with an art exhibition and sculpture displays on the weekend of November 7 and 8.

Rotary president Denis Bishop said: “We are delighted once again to be presenting a month-long programme of events to put Swaffham on the artistic map.

“We have an exciting a varied programme, and we hope that the town will really get behind this ambitious festival.

“As well as providing interesting and informative events for people to enjoy, we are hoping to raise money for a number of charities in the process.”

Details of all the events at the festival, which is sponsored by Abel Homes, are on its website,

And tickets for all the events are available now from the Ceres bookshop in London Street.
