Guests at the annual Gallipoli lunch were joined by military historian and writer Dan van der Vat at LynnTown Hall on Friday, July 1.
John Crowe, of the Gallipoli and Dardanelles International group, who organises the commemorative event said that it was a unique chance to meet a man who wrote two books on the Gallipoli campaign.
Mr Crowe added: “It was a very enjoyable lunch and I was thrilled that one of our members, Albert Touboul who is 86, came all the way from Paris to see us.
“Everyone had a good hour to mix and share their interest in history.
“We welcome new members, you don’t have to have a personal connection to Gallipoli to join us.”
The group will next meet for the Gallipoli Memorial Serivce on Saturday, August 13 at St Nicholas Church in Dersingham at 2.30pm.
