LEARN MOREStudents at Fakenham Academy have been rewarded for their hard work through unprecedented circumstances in their GCSE courses.
That was the view of the school's head, Richard Evans, as the grades were released this morning.
In common with most schools, the academy has not released collective statistics, following the cancellation of formal exams due to Covid for the second successive year.
But Mr Evans said: "We are extremely pleased for all of our students who are receiving their results today.
"They have worked exceptionally hard during the previous two years and thoroughly deserve the results they are picking up today."
Among the school's high achievers was Ella Warnes with six grade 9s and three grade 8s.
Following the release of GCSE results at Litcham High School headteacher Tim Gibbs said: "This year group's results are excellent both individually and collectively; several pupils' grades are truly exceptional.
"This year group will be remembered as one that had to overcome totally unexpected circumstances yet applied themselves fully and achieved great things for themselves.
"Without doubt, they will also be remembered by staff as one of the nicest groups of young people to have passed through the school and they were a pleasure to work alongside.
"We wish every one of them all the best for their futures."
