GCSE Results Day 2024: Students at St Clement’s High School in Terrington St Clement get impressive scores across the board
Officials at St Clement’s High School have said its Class of 2024 has received impressive GCSE results across the board.
The school in Terrington St Clement was pleased as it said that its students excelled in all subjects including the arts.
"It’s brilliant to see everyone’s hard work paying off," said head teacher Nigel Willingham.
Among its high-fliers were Oliver Wright and Holly McGowan who are just two of many who gained multiple top grades and surpassed their targets.
“Holly is now in a strong position to fulfil her ambition of becoming a doctor,” said Sam Bailey, head of Year 11.
“Oliver will progress with his aim to pursue a career in the field of Maths of Science.”
Students also did very well in languages this year with more than two-thirds of those studying French achieving grades 4 to 9.
“The students engaged with the high level of support provided in languages and they have been rewarded with a great set of results,” Mr Willingham added.
As well as good grades in English, Maths and Science, the school said the results in the arts have been “outstanding”.
"In Photography, 100% of students achieved grades 4 to 9, and it’s wonderful to see the arts subjects flourishing in our school at a time when these subjects are under pressure nationally."
He added: "We’re very proud of our students and their families who worked so hard to support them.”
