Grease is the word with the Watlington Players and also Fadlos at Fakenham.

And that means local audiences will be taken on a rock and roll musical treat with the hits made famous in the 1970s hit film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

In the Watlington production, the lead roles of Danny and Sandy are played by Liam Baker and Laura Bullimore.

Rydell High is filled to the brim with rebellious teens, no more so than the sassy Pink Ladies and the too-cool-for-school Burger Palace Boys. When Sandy Dumbrowski joins the school, will she resume her summer love with group leader Danny Zuko or struggle to find her place amongst the clique?

Set in the rocking 50s, the show features popular songs from the film such as Summer Nights, Greased Lightning and You’re the One that I Want.

The show will be performed from Wednesday, May 27, through to Saturday, May 30, nightly at 7.30pm at Watlington Village Hall. There will also be a matinee performance on the Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets at £10 (£8 concs) can now be booked online. To book you should visit, or call the box office a between 5.30-7.30pm on 0845 0529645 if you would like to pay by cash or cheque. A small booking charge applies to card payments.

The venue at the village hall will include tiered seating, and there will also be refreshments available at the bar areas.
