Church goers at St Mary’s Church in Great Massingham continued their fundraising exploits on Saturday when they hosted their annual Christmas market.
The church is currently trying to raise £50,000 so it can build a new kitchen and toilet in the Grade I listed building.
A total of £900 was raised from the event – one of three held each year, along with a spring and summer fair and also the summer afternoon tees.
Lindsey Tibble, one of the organisers, said: “Because the church is a Grade I listed building it is proving rather expensive.
“So far, we’ve raised more than £20,000 so we’ve still got some way to go before we reach our target.”
Among the stalls on offer were a present stall, a Christmas decoration stall, jewellery, books, tombola, cakes and a raffle while light lunches were also served.
