LEARN MOREThe campaign to improve facilities at a West Norfolk community hub has been boosted following a village fun day at ther weekend.
Around £1,600 was raised at the event in Marham on Sunday.
Three-quarters of that will be given to the village hall campaign, which aims to raise £9,000 towards the provision of new disabled toilets at the hall.
Officials estimate they have now raised around half the amount needed.
The remainder will be given to the Swaffham and Litcham Home Hospice.
A new group, called Marham Friends, has now been set up to continue fundraising work for projects in the village, working in partnership with the Marham Bowls, Sports and Social Club.
They have urged residents to get in touch with possible causes by phoning 07834 948725 or 07875 434666.
Plans are already being drawn up to hold the fun day again in 2020.
