Around Britain mobility scooter marathon man Mark Newton pulled into Hunstanton on Friday afternoon to visit the lifeboat station.

Mr Newton has been travelling for more than 300 days going from RNLI lifeboat shed to lifeboat station to raise money for the service. Mr Newton, from Swansea, had made his way up from Lynn, where he had spent the previous night. He stayed the weekend in Hunstanton sleeping in his trailer, which he tows behind his mobility scooter. Also with him were his two cats, Smudge and Missy. He is pictured at Tesco in Hunstanton, where he was able to recharge his scooter for free.. with David Jones, treasurer of the Lifeboat Guild. Mr Newton, 47, a former Queen’s Draggon Guard who was invalided out of the Army, expects to be on the road for another 200 days. After Hunstanton he was off to Wells.
