Health checks at Reffley Community Day
From blood pressure readings to calculating body mass index, professionals were providing free health checks in Reffley on Sunday.
Sponsored by West Norfolk Mind, Reffley Community Family Day encouraged residents to come forward and undertake a free health check.
Checks included blood pressure and blood sugar readings, body mass index (BMI) calculations, and lung capacity readings, among others.
Organiser Kicha Mitchell said there was also two doctors on hand offering counselling sessions and others making diet, exercise and general health plans.
She said: “The main focus of the family day was to offer free health checks to members of the community.
“It is a real community event and something we hope people will consider taking up in the future.
“We offer free health checks and these include making people personalised plans for them to follow to improve their general health.”
Ms Mitchell said there were also other events set up on Reffley Community Centre’s grounds, including face painting, animals, coconut shy, live music and entertainment and a bouncy castle.
A spokesman from West Norfolk Mind said: “We are very grateful to have been invited to Reffley Community Family Day.”
