Healthy walk and talk in King's Lynn

More news, no ads

Next Monday in South Lynn and then on Tuesday, in North Lynn, charity C3 Collaborating For Health is inviting residents who are pregnant or have children aged under four to join them on a walk and talk about how together they can make the area a healthier place to live.

C3 works to create a world where no one dies of preventable long-term diseases like diabetes and some cancers by making it easier for people to stop smoking, improve what they eat and drink, and do more physical activity.

Residents play a key role in improving their community, they become citizen scientists during the walk using the tablet and app C3 provides to learn how they are encouraged to make healthy and unhealthy choices in their day to day lives.

Together they then use the information collected on the walk to create a plan to help make the community a healthier place to live.

From growing fruits and vegetables to eat, to healthy cooking classes, and creating wild play areas for parents and children, C3 and the communities they’ve worked with have found a way to make living healthier lives fun, affordable and environmentally friendly.
