The Great Cressingham Victorian School opened its doors to the public for an open weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
The event was organised after the school was granted grade two listed status by English Heritage last month.
Curator and headmistress Sally North said the classroom had been packed for two Sunday lessons.
Visitors also included two mothers who brought their own children, having visited the school themselves when they were youngsters.
She said: “Many people of all ages came for the first time and I so often get the comment that ‘it brings back so much of my childhood back to me.’”
