The reopening of the Lord Nelson pub in Burnham Thorpe after renovation has been put back until March of next year.
The building was bought by the Holkham Estate from Greene King last year with the intention of reopening it again after a prolonged period of closure.
But James Bracey, Holkham's general manager for land and property, said: "The historic part of the building was in worse condition than originally anticipated but we are committed to putting the love back into the building with a once-in-a-lifetime investment to restore the site's heritage and integrity."
However, Covid-19 restrictions has meant that the pub will not open until March, ahead of the spring season.
