The Gin Trap Inn at Ringstead closes for refurbishment

The Gin Trap Inn at Ringstead is currently closed while a refurbishment project takes place.

The High Street pub and restaurant closed last Monday for period of just over two weeks and is expected to reopen on Thursday, January 23.

Manager Sophie Daniels said: "We are having bit of spruce up in our bar and restaurant areas, including the conservatory.

"There'll be no major changes, just fresh paint and alterations to the flooring. We're hoping when we reopen, it will come as pleasant surprise for all our customers."

The Gin Trap, a 17th century coaching inn has been a pub since 1668.

Since 2015 it has focused on offering an extensive range of gins from all over the world.

It also now offers luxury accommodation in the adjoining former stable block, once the home of Ringstead Gallery.
