Staff from Bespak in Lynn swapped their work clothes for Santa suits as they took part in a Santa Run on Friday to raise funds for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Joined by various other businesses on the North Lynn Industrial Estate, over 60 fundraisers took to the streets during their lunch break to complete a 1.2mile fun run to support the charity.
Despite it only being the first year Bespak workers have organised the event, their efforts have raised over £675 which will go towards supporting local life threatened children.
A spokesman forthe team at Bespak said: “The event had a very festive atmosphere, with all participating Santas enjoying a welcome mince pie and drink at the finish line, after collecting their well deserved medal.”
Rose Peasgood, EACH Norfolk Fundraiser, said: “The Santa Run was a brilliant event, and really enjoyed by everyone. I want to say a huge thank you to Bespak for their support. It proves that fundraising really can be lots of fun. EACH supports children, young people and their families with life-threatening conditions across Norfolk and this money will ensure we are able to continue to offer this care and support.
“Thank you to everyone who was involved and we hope this becomes an annual event for the estate!”
The run comes shortly after the charity launched the nook appeal – a £10 million fundraising appeal to develop children’s hospice care services, including a new hospice in the heart of Norfolk.
