Home plan submitted for old Methwold butcher's shop
Proposals to turn an empty butcher’s shop in a West Norfolk village into a home have been submitted to borough council officials.
Planning permission is being sought for a change of use of the property in High Street, Methwold, to form a new, single bedroomed dwelling.
Documents submitted as part of the planning application, made by Scott Peng, argued the development would have a “minimal” impact on the area if it is approved by the authority.
Architects Cameron Bosque said: “The alterations to the externals will improve the aesthetic of the building and therefore have a positive impact on the conservation area.
“The change of use will ensure that the building does not deteriorate any further and ensure the continual upkeep of the building for future years.”
