Swaffham Classic Car Show returns to town with sponsor Barratt Homes supporting event near its new development
Classic motors were on view at an annual car show in Swaffham which saw more than 3,000 people come to take a look.
The classic car show organised by Swaffham Town Council saw rows of unique vehicles including cars, motorbikes and exhibition vehicles for visitors to admire.
Taking place at Swaffham’s Recreation Ground on Sunday, August 25, people also enjoyed refreshments, a car boot and trading stalls.
One of the show’s sponsors, Barratt Homes, contributed £200 towards the event as part of its “ongoing commitment to the local community” near its Ceres Rise development on Norwich Road.
Barratt Homes’ Ceres Rise development is home to a selection of three and four-bedroom properties.
The event drew in 3,200 attendees - and Swaffham Town Council is set to host its next fun day on Wednesday, October 30 for Halloween.
Helen Carrier, town clerk at Swaffham Town Council, said: “The Classic Car Fayre and Family Fun Day was a huge success. It was great to see the community enjoying the event.
“Swaffham Town Council would like to thank all of the volunteers, committee members and sponsors for helping to make this event possible.”
Simon Wood, managing director at Barratt Homes Anglia, said: “We are always looking for different ways to support the local community surrounding our developments and we are thrilled to be able to contribute towards Swaffham’s Classic Car Fayre and Family Fun Day.
“Community events like these are vital for nurturing local spirit, and we are proud to support such a fantastic occasion for the people of Swaffham.”
