Home’s summer fete could help achieve scooter aim
More than £1,100 was raised to provide additional facilities and activities for residents of a Swaffham care home during a fete at the weekend.
The Paddocks home in Cley Road opened its doors to supporters for the popular fundraiser on Saturday afternoon.
The home’s general manager Debbie Barnes said: “We had a really good day and the residents thoroughly enjoyed it.”
The event raised a total of £1,153.50 for the home’s residents’ funds.
Miss Barnes said: “That goes to buy things to make the lives of the residents better.”
Past events have helped to buy extra garden furniture and fund additional trips out.
And Miss Barnes said residents were currently looking at the possibility of purchasing a mobility scooter for the home.
