Hoste is the perfect host for coming out of lockdown celebration
The historic Hoste Arms, at Burnham Market, was the perfect host for a coming out of lockdown party.
Dozens of customers were invited to celebrate the return of indoor dining and to see what had been going on behind the scenes while they were away.
It was also a chance to roll out the barrel for the partnership between the Hoste’s owners, the City Pub Group, and Barsham Brewery which brought along bottles of its award-winning beers to partygoers to try out.
Guests were treated to music by a three-piece band playing in the lodge and there was plenty of sparkling wine and a lunch prepared by the hotel’s kitchen team.
The Hoste’s owners took the opportunity to show people the renovation and redecoration work that had gone on during lockdown.
Clive Watson, executive chairman of City Pub Group, was keen to pay tribute to the staff. He said: “A big thanks to all our staff who have coped with so much over the past months. We are coming to the end and can hopefully have a really great summer, and I would like to thank everyone for coming on this memorable day. It is great working with local independent suppliers like Barsham Brewery, it is incredibly important to The City Pub Group to enjoy the provenence and help local businesses to grow.”
James Prideaux, managing director of Barsham Brewery said “A special thanks to all our customers who have loyally supported us. We are incredibly optimistic for the future of the hospitality industry following such an awful period for everyone due to Covid. We have regretfully had to pour beer down the drain, but we have been thrilled with the amount of orders we have taken over the last few weeks and it’s great to support local pubs and businesses. City Pub Group have made a significant commitment to our business which will help to support our continued growth and it’s great for us to have this strong link with them.”
