Hunstanton hotel's regional champion search closes soon
The deadline is looming in the search by Hunstanton's Golden Lion Hotel to find a 'regional champion' to help promote West Norfolk and the county as a whole.
It wants someone who is passionate about the region to help tourists enjoy the best that Norfolk has to offer.
The Coast and Country Hotel Collection, which includes the Golden Lion, is looking for a county and regional champion to wax lyrical about the county and help promote the key local attractions.
Giles Norwood, general manager of the Golden Lion, explained: “Norfolk is a wonderful place, with so much to see and do. However, no one knows an area better than the people who live here. Tourists and guests to the hotel only have a relatively short time to appreciate the best things to see and do – so we want to work with a truly knowledgeable local to maximise their chances of seeing the really special stuff.
“With this in mind then, we’re looking for someone who has a genuinely in depth understanding of real Norfolk gems. Are you a local historian? A tour guide perhaps? Or just a firm believer in and cheerleader of the local community and its surroundings?"
In return for the county champion’s input, the hotel would offer the choice of either monetary payment or, as an alternative, a 3-night break in another hotel in The Coast & Country Collection in a region of their choice – offering them the opportunity to explore another part of the UK.
