Hunstanton Football Club joined forces with sponsors the Wash and Tope hotel, Hunstanton, to raise money for the resort’s lifeboat station.

A pool knockout competition won by Lifeboatman Dave Eastwood, the cash in the bottle competition and a raffle raised £400 on Friday, March 14.

On Sunday morning, before the regular lifeboat training exercise, a cheque was presented by representatives of the football club and Jayne Hall of the Wash and Tope.

Dave Baxter, the football club secretary, said: “We are very grateful to all the local businesses that donated prizes for our raffle and especially our sponsors. It is wonderful to be able to support the lifeboat station because it is such an important part of our local community. ”
