The wet weather was not enough to put off the hundreds who turned out on their bikes tor raise money for charity.
The Cycle Together Sandringham took place today (June 14). More than 400 people came to ride through the rain in aid of Leonard Cheshire Disability.
Phil Davies, who organised the event, was impressed by the riders’ enthusiasm.
“The ride started at 8am,” he said. “Between 7am and 9am, it was raining solidly. It was a bit damp.
“We have had a great turn out, maybe not as much as would have come if the weather had been different. Over 400 people came. There were loads of children who came with their parents.
“It’s been a great day.”
The money that was raised for charity is still being counted. The final total may not be known for a few weeks.
