Pensthorpe Natural Park's first summer market attracts hundreds of visitors – and dozens of ducklings




Pensthorpe Natural Park, near Fakenham, saw visitors in their hundreds attend its first summer market.

The free event on July 7, attracted numerous shoppers and more than 800 people took advantage of a reduced entry price at the nature reserve.

More than 50 local food, homeware and craft artisans and producers took part.

Pensthorpe spokesman Jo Artherton said: “Visitors enjoyed some retail therapy, meeting local producers and purchasing something unique.

"As well as visitors and producers, we also had dozens of ducks and ducklings waddling about the courtyard area where the stalls were. As it was the first time we have held a summer market, we are really pleased that we got such a good turnout."

Pensthorpe's Christmas market will take place on Sunday, November 24.
