Saxophonist David Young will be entertaining people in Lynn and Hunstanton in a bid to raise hundreds of pounds for Children In Need.

David, who plays the tenor saxophone in the Hunstanton Concert Band, will be bringing his musical talents to Lynn next week when he plays to shoppers outside Tesco on the Hardwick Industrial Estate on Thursday, November 12, from around 10am.

He will also be performing outside Tesco in Hunstanton on Saturday, November 21, at the same time.

David, who recently moved to Hunstanton from Buckinghamshire with his wife Virginia and has family living in North Wootton, frequently played at his local shopping centre prior to moving and raised £600 each time he played.

He said: “Hopefully I will be able to raise as much this time, with every penny I raise going towards Children In Need. I hope as many people as possible can come and support me on the days.”

David plays and teaches all kinds of saxophone, including baritone, tenor, alto and soprano, and also plays the clarinet. His main work is performing at weddings, but he also entertains in residential homes, and occasions such as birthdays, engagements and company functions.

He has already performed at the terrace wine bar of the Princess Theatre in Hunstanton, and also at the town’s Searles Holiday Park, where he is performing tomorrow and again on November 16.

During the Children In Need fundraisers, David will be playing a wide variety of music, including easy listening, jazz standards, film/show music, Latin and pop music from all eras.
