This Sunday will see Christmas spirit blazing into Hunstanton at the Christmas lights switch-on, with a full day of entertainment for the whole family.
It all starts at 10am when the town hall and the streets outside will host a gift fair.
The many events on the day include live music in Greevegate and outside the Princess Theatre from mid-day onwards.
The entertainment continues with the Kings Morris Dancers performing from 2pm, followed by Hunstanton Concert Band and Community Choir who will entertain the crowds between 2-4.30pm in the Spinney. There will be plenty of fairground rides and amusements for the youngsters, with Santa’s Grotto and face painting at the Princess Theatre from 12-4pm and 5-6pm.
The annual tug-of-war competition between teams of firemen and lifeboatmen is scheduled for 3.30pm on the Upper Green.
The lights will be switched on by the town mayor and the deputy borough mayor at 5pm after a parade around town led by Santa’s sleigh including decorated Honda Goldwings motorbikes and classic Mini cars, with the cast of the Christmas show and pantomime, joining the parade on foot in their costumes.
