Young musicians are set to play at St Edmund’s Church in Hunstanton on Sunday.
The West Norfolk Jubilee Youth Orchestra will be performing a programme called from Norfolk to Outer Space because it features the Gressenhall Suite, written in 1915 by Francis Cunningham-Woods.
Other items will include classics by Elgar, Fucik and Pepusch contrasted with more modern pieces drawn from the music of Paul Simon and Harry Potter.
WNJYO was created with funds from the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977.
After a decline in numbers, the orchestra now has 24 players, aged between 11 and 17, drawn from schools across West Norfolk who meet to rehearse at Springwood High School in Lynn. Entrance to the concert, which starts at 2.20pm, is free.
